MEET YOUR PHOTOGRAPHER
Hi I am Jessica, owner of Jessica Katherine Photography. I am originally from the bluegrass state of Kentucky- which had a big influence on my southern gothic taste in things. I am told you are able to tell my roots just by my accent (which I thought had gone away with practice, but apparently not) Sigh. A little twang never hurt anybody though! I am a wandering soul, so you’ll always see me planning my next adventure with my fiance and our dogs. When I am not working, you’ll catch me viciously cleaning my house with a glass of wine always nearby, or porch sittin’ with my dogs.
I am creative at heart, and I have always loved to evoke emotion through sharing my perspective on life through photography. I have had the privilege to tell stories through my lens for 10 years. I realized that photography was more than flashy poses and perfectly set up studios. It is about the person and the inner beauty that each soul has- and the ability to bring out the authentic personality of that person. I strive to capture images that evoke emotion and give a sense of nostalgia each time you look at them. I love capturing people’s stories as they are unfolding, no matter how small the details seem.
